We have embraced the aspects that feel familiar or comfortable while neglecting the dimensions that require surrender, reverence, or transformation. We have celebrated power but overlooked wisdom. We have sought counsel but resisted the fear of the Lord. We have pursued knowledge but lacked understanding. We have asked for might but ignored the Spirit of the Lordship that governs all the others.
